Homework                               

Learning is important. We need to learn at school and at home.

I think we should do homework every day.

Firstly I think we should do homework every day to practice our spelling and our reading. Then we can get better at spelling and reading.

Secondly I think we should do homework every day so that we can give our brain a workout so you can learn.

So that’s why I think we should do homework everyday.

I have been learning how to move my characters 

by giving them instructions in code blocks.

The cards are easy to use.

The animations are fun.

Matariki Star

Look at the colourful Matariki star I made.

I had to focus very hard to follow the instructions.

It was hard work.

My Reading

Here is my reading. I read this text at the beginning of the term. Next week I will post a video of my new reading to show how smoothly I can read now.

Recount Writing-At Opo

WALT use the correct structure and language for Recount Writing.

Fishing

On Saturday me and my mum and

my brother and my baby brother

and my uncle went to Opononi

and we got our fishing rods out of the car.

We went to the beach to do some fishing.

I was excited to be at the beach with my family.

My mum caught a little fish.

I was happy for my mum.

But my mum put the fish back into the sea.

When I got my fish it was like a snapper.

I was happy that I got a fish.

When my brother got his fish, it was long fish.

I was so happy for him.

When my uncle got his, it was not a fish it was a squid.

I was happy for him too.

We had an amazing day at the beach.

My Mum is amazing by the way

she hugs me and kisses me.

When I need her she is

always there for me.

She feeds me and makes sure that my clothes are dry and she does

the dishes and she cleans the house.

I'm happy that she is my mum!

Persuasive Writing-Brushing Teeth

WALT use the correct structure and language for Persuasive Writing.

Brushing Teeth.

Teeth are important for chewing food.We need to look

after them.

So   I think we should brush our teeth every day.   

  

Firstly I think we should brush our teeth
every day so that you can have nice and clean
and healthy teeth.

Secondly I think we should brush our teeth
every day because if you don’t brush your teeth
every day the bacteria will hurt your teeth.

Thirdly I think we should brush our teeth every day
so we can eat our food because our teeth will be strong.

So that’s why I think we should brush our teeth every day.
